Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kayla. I'm a sophmore at Scottsbluff High School. In the summer I'll have
a job, hopefully it'll be teaching riding lessons or something like that with horses. Right now im just concentrating on my
school work. Currently I am a member of the varsity speech team, FFA, musical, president of the Bit and Spur 4-H Club, and
play flute/piccolo in the jazz band.
In FFA im involved with two team contests. Our Ag Communications team will compete at state and we are still practicing
for the district contest. Cross your fingers we get to the state FFA contest in both contests!
Currently my mom and I own seven horses. Five quarter horses and two paint horses make up the grand total. Their a handful
but there's nothing better than a horses friendship.
3 year old- Mr. Rebels Prize (paint)
4 year old- A Fox Machine
8 year old- Covers Cute Trick
9 year old- Mee A Commander
16 year old- Classic Royal (paint)
20 year old- Murf the Smurf
21 year old- Ace
They have all been in the show ring one time or another but I will never be able to replace Murf the Smurf, he taught
me how to ride and we both got along perfectly because he was stubborn and so was I...It took nine years to make him the perfect
all around horse.
The only horse I have ever found that could even follow in his foot steps is A Fox Machine. We have been a team for only
a year now but I think we have done a pretty good job. We were this years PQHA all around gelding, all around junior horse,
and all around senior youth team. Hopefully we will continue to have this much success for years to come.
